Digme's Guinness World Record Attempt

30th November 2017

30th November 2017

By Shivraj Bassi

We're really excited to announce that partner studio Digme Fitness are aiming to set a new Guinness World Record next month for the most participants in a static cycling relay event in 24 hours. The aim of the event is to raise awareness of and money for Digme's fantastic Charity Partner, Dallaglio RugbyWorks.

What is it?

The event will kick off in Richmond at 5.30pm on Friday 15th December. The format will be 24 one-hour of Digme's signature spin classes running back to back.

They'll also have an auction where you’ll be able to bid for incredible products and experiences, a raffle to win some awesome prizes, celebrity participants, world-renowned guest instructors, themed classes, a live DJ, some delicious snacks to fuel our efforts and lots more going on to keep everyone entertained.

This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a world record attempt and you can get involved in several different ways:

  • Book a bike for one or more hourly slots
  • Book a section of bikes for your family, friends, work colleagues or sports team
  • Book the entire studio for one or more of the hourly slots

Tickets are £25 per bike for a one-hour slot, with all proceeds going to Dallaglio RugbyWorks. Just head to Digme's website and buy a "Guinness World Record Credit".

What do you have to do?

In order to set the world record, everyone has to ride a kilometre on one particular bike, which will be at the front of the studio next to the instructor. Get ready to jump on during your class and take your turn at peddling into the record books!

Tip: When you book your bike, you're better off picking a lower number to make sure you get your go on the world record bike in your allotted hour.

If you would like to get involved with the organisation of the event, please contact sarah@digmefitness.com about volunteering opportunities. Please come be a part of this event to make history and raise money for a great cause. We'll see you there!
