Recently purchased The Detox Booster? Thinking about it? Looking for some inspiration when it comes to incorporating this booster into diet (and life)? You got it. 

We've designed the perfect, research-backed vegan protein to support your immune system and reach your fitness goals, and now it's time to show you how to use it. Whether it's a detox tea, superfood green smoothie or any other yummy detox recipe, we've rounded up our favourites below. But first... what actually is The Detox Booster?

What is The Detox Booster?

The Detox Booster is our vegan superfood blend, packed with 10 of nature’s most powerful ingredients. The product represents an easy way to pack your diet with nutrient-rich ingredients to support your immune system and ensure you’re prioritising your health. We’ve got a few quick and easy recipes that you can use to give yourself a health boost during your day.

Milk ‘n’ honey 

This is an Innermost team favourite.

When the clock strikes 3, you can catch the team in our kitchen whipping up our green detox lattes. These are super easy to make. Simply warm up a mug of milk of your choice (we find oat milk works really well), then add a heaped teaspoon of The Detox Booster followed by a squeeze of honey.

Top tip: Keep stirring and using your spoon to press the powder against the sides of the mug to break it up and help it dissolve. 20 seconds in the microwave can help with preparation.

We all like it a little differently so vary the amount of milk or add some water if needed. A few of us don’t hold back on the honey either. Sweet tooth central! This drink is perfect for those afternoon energy slumps or early morning pick-me-ups.

Apple juice

Everyone loves a fresh glass of juice to start their day, right? The Detox Booster can make this routine even more delicious (and nutritious). See what we did there?

Mix 1 teaspoon in a glass of apple juice and drink to feel the glow. The sweetness from the apple juice pairs beautifully with The Detox Booster, and you can easily take this on the go throughout a busy day.

Perfect for a refreshing beverage on a Spring or Summer’s day.

Porridge

Finding it hard to drag yourself out of bed in the morning? Time to give your snooze button a rest. This breakfast is reason enough. Shout-out to Elisa for the inspiration behind this one! 

Ingredients / Serves 1:

Step 1: To a saucepan, add your oats and 200ml of liquid - we used rice milk but you can use any kind of milk, water or a combination.

Step 2: Add 2 tablespoons of your choice of chocolate flavoured Innermost protein blend. There are four to choose from; The Strong Protein, The Fit Protein, The Health Protein and The Lean Protein - each one is crafted with unique ingredients. Now add 1 teaspoon of The Detox Booster

Step 3: Heat the mixture for a few minutes until you get the consistency you like and then transfer to a bowl.

Step 4: Slice your fig and arrange on the surface of the porridge, and then sprinkle on your bee pollen and cocao nibs, before getting stuck in.

With a green smoothie

Everyone loves a green shake or juice, the Innermost team included. The only way to improve a classic green shake is adding some protein (from Innermost of course), to increase this superfood green smoothie's nutrients level even more. 

One of our absolute go-to detox smoothies here at the office is the infamous Green Velvet green smoothie.

It's pretty simple, here's the ingredients list for our superfood green smoothie to get you going... 

Green velvet smoothie

  • 1 frozen spinach ball 
  • 1/4 avocado 
  • 1/2 frozen apple 
  • 6 ice cubes 
  • 1 tsp The Detox Booster by Innermost (obviously)
  • 3 flat scoops (30g) of any vanilla Innermost protein blend. 
  • 170ml of a milk of your choice
